Abstract: This thesis will examine the current and past Supreme Court interpretations of the Second Amendment. This thesis will use a variety of scholarly journals and other sources to back up claims with evidence. The thesis will be broken up into three sections with each part addressing important aspects of the Second Amendment. The first section examines past interpretations through Supreme Court opinions and sources that reference the Framers of the Constitution. The second section examines how that interpretation has changed because of interest groups and other organizations. The third section is dedicated to the modern Second Amendment issues that the Supreme Court have yet to address. All of these sections are important to understanding the rationale of the Supreme Court Second Amendment jurisprudence.
