Abstract: Cook and Amatucci study Kristi Amatucci's journey as she tries to align her conceptual development of teaching multicultural pedagogy -- learned in both her teacher training institution and as a student teacher -- with her transition year experience as a new teacher in a new school. They trace Kristi's development as a teacher by focusing on key classroom interactions, her own reflections, and her negotiation of a new system and curriculum.
