Abstract: It was the purpose of this study (1) to investigate the physical and chemical properties of the rare-earth elements and associated rare-earth elements present in the monazite sample; (2) to separate the rare-earth elements and associated metals from all other elements present in the monazite sample; (3) to determine quantitatively the amount of rare-earth elements and associated rare-earth elements present in the monazite sample.
