Abstract: It was the purpose of this investigation (1) to predict the academic success of college students enrolled in freshman mathematics courses by Einstellung, and (2) to validate the Einstellung Test by use of the Iowa High School Content Examination, Section 2, Mathematics, for the purpose of finding an economical and easily administered test.
