Abstract: Professional preparation in health, physical education, and recreation has become one of the major areas of study in most universities today, and is not a haven of refuge for scholastically incompetent students. The preparation undertaken leading to the Bachelor of Science or Arts degree in health, physical education, and recreation is based upon a study of the life sciences such as anatomy, physiology, psychology, and sociology.
