Abstract: Residents can expect and prepare for burglary if they are prone to victimization. The risk for a repeat action of burglary appears immediately after the initial offense. Crime records indicate 25% of repeat burglaries occur within one week of the initial crime and 51% occur within 1 month. This information can facilitate temporary preventive measures by residents and law enforcement officials.
