Abstract: After visiting the Delaware Bay with my university class to observe the mating of horseshoe crabs, I decided to develop a teaching unit about Limulus polyphemus for my elementary science classes. Because horseshoe crabs have lived on Earth for millions of years, this arthropod is often called a "living fossil."
