Dr. Eric B. Dent is presently a Professor of Management at the University of North Carolina, Pembroke. He is committed to an interdisciplinary research agenda that has resulted in publications in behavioral science, complexity theory, systems science, education, consulting, history, communications, spirituality, organization development, and philosophy journals. Dr. Dent is a consultant to Fortune 500, government and non-profit organizations as well as an invited speaker to national audiences. He has received various awards for his scholarship, teaching, and service. Prior to joining academia, Dr. Dent worked as a computer scientist with IBM. There he worked on state-of-the-art satellite communication technology.
