Abstract: The purpose of this study is to develop an annotated bibliography of pedagogical materials, appropriate for the pre-college level saxophonist. Publications selected for this research include method books, scale and technical studies, altissimo studies, and pedagogical resources. Detailed annotations of each publication will assist music educators in selecting the most appropriate and effective materials for their students. Additionally, these publications are incorporated into a proposed curriculum, addressing the fundamental aspects of saxophone performance.
