Abstract: The thinking of many is that students should not use employment as a source of financial aid during their freshman year. With an increasing enrollment of students who have financial need it becomes more important that we know more about the effects of employment on academic progress and personal development. The purpose of this study is to provide information that will be useful when guiding the employed student.
