Abstract: This independent study was conducted to illustrate the psychological reactions that are exhibited during the time of death, and to enhance the knowledge of other members of the profession, and students of this institution who may have interest in the study of psychological relationship to death that is experienced by the funeral director.In a great human service field such as funeral service, the ability of an individual to work with people, to understand them, and the serve them becomes a prime interest. Seminars, lectures, education conventions are being held within the funeral profession to better aid the funeral director in his chosen field. I do hope that this independent study will be beneficial to someone toward broadening their knowledge of the psychological reaction during the time of death.
