Abstract: The purpose of this survey was to study the licensing regulations for preschools and the requirements for certification of teachers of preschool children in the United States. Since such information is quickly out-dated, this survey is intended to bring up-to-date existing information on legislation. In addition certain city regulations were sought to present some local progressive trends for preschools and for teachers of preschool children.
