Abstract: Many schools have endeavored to evaluate their curricula through the use of follow-up studies. This type of research has received considerable attention as a recognized method of determining the success of the school. As pointed out in a bulletin, "Techniques of Follow-up Study of School- Leavers, " from the United States Office of Education, Vocational Division, Occupational Information and Guidance Service, "The school may determine its success by examining its product ... by evaluating its curriculum and instructional service in light of findings revealed by the performance of its products, namely its graduates . . . Follow-up studies may also become valuable as instruments of research."1 The present study undertakes an examination of follow-up theses concerned with activities of graduates of comprehensive high schools for the purposes of: (1) ascertaining comparable data reported in these studies and (2) synthesizing the comparable data of the several studies.
