Abstract: The purpose of the study was to assess the impact of technology on collection development and the collection, and the probable impact of future technologies on collection development and the collection in selected academic and research libraries in the Southeast. An interview methodology was utilized to collect the data. Nineteen librarians from 13 libraries participated in the study. The findings of the study are not generalizable to libraries outside the study population.
