Abstract: The intentional counseling supervisor makes deliberate choices about what interventions will be used in a supervisory session. These choices are made either consciously or subconsciously. The more conscious these choices are, the better, as conscious choices imply that the supervisor is aware of the factors influencing decisions, and can make sure all the relevant factors are considered in choosing an intervention.
