Abstract: In this paper, we establish certain characterizations of the Weibull-X family of distributions proposed by Alzaatreh et al. (2013) as well as of the Burr XII Negative Binomial distribution, introduced by Ramos et al. (2015). These characterizations are based on two truncated moments, hazard rate function and conditional expectation of functions of random variables.
