Abstract: The advent of computers has greatly changed education. This change has beenfurther enhanced by the development of the internet and interactive programmingcourseware that aids and enhances instruction. Computers and the internet have allowededucators to broaden their horizons and extend their ability to reach, train, and teach bothcolleagues and students. The ability to reach teachers and learners by providing digitaleducational resources can be vital in aiding those living in regions devastated by naturaldisasters in re-establishing their learning environments. The goal of this chapter is toprovide solutions that have been implemented and are being created for the residents of theUnited States who are living in the Hurricane Katrina region.
