Abstract: The purpose of the study was (1) to examine the establishment, growth, curriculum, schedules, practices, and objectives of the public schools in the Moroccan Berber tribal region of Ourika; (2) to point out a number of cultural aspects of the school community during the school years 1957-1958 through 1962-1963 that have significant implications for education; (3) to determine to what extent the existing school program is meeting the needs of the community; and (4) to make recommendations for the improvement of those schools.
