Abstract: It was the purpose of this study (1) to trace the history of the exploitation of forests in Santa Rosa County, Florida; (2) to determine how this exploitation has affected the economy of the county; (3) to discover the factors leading to the termination of this exploitation; and (4) to show to what extent reforestation has occurred.
