Abstract: Short stories are considered by many writers to be the most challenging form of fiction to write. A good short story captures many things a novel might but in less words. In this collection, three loosely interlocking stories feature working-class men and women living in the American South. These stories attempt to give readers new perspective on what it is like to be human. They speak on moments.
