Abstract: Foreign policy issues seem remote to most people, and therefore they don’t care about them. Politicians are given more leeway on foreign policy issues, than on domestic issues that their constituencies care about. Israel has been receiving increased attention from Christian religious communities in the United States over the last few decades. Using empirical analysis, this study explores whether Israel should be considered a religious-domestic issue or a foreign policy issue from a political standpoint.
