Abstract: The study compared selected personality traits of female Physical Education majors and non-majors. The Edwards Personal Preference Schedule was utilized for this investigation. Fifty female Physical Education majors selected by random sampling and fifty female non-majors who were recommended by their department chairman and who volunteered, were included in the in the study. All of the subjects were enrolled in the Junior or Senior classes at Appalachian State University, Boone, North Carolina during the Fall quarter of 1971.
